Radiotext, EON AF, AF Lists

The data for 'Radio Text', 'AF Lists' and 'EON AF Lists' are displayed in the following dialog. To edit the data double click on the desired entry. An appropriate dialog will appear which let you change the data. Use the 'Add' and 'Delete' button to add a new or delete existing entry. The list will be stored for each Encoder in the database.

Test Data

The 'TestData' property sheet enables the possibility to send IH, TDC, TMC, and FFG test data to the Encoder. The data selected in the 'Block 2, 5 Bits' will be used for TDC, IH and FFG. 'Transmission TMC' will be used for the TMC data. The Block 2 data for TMC has to be inserted in the 'Data' field. 'Version A / Version B' will be inserted in the TDC, IH and FFG data. The 'Buffer Configuration' will be used by all commands. 'FFG Group' will be inserted in the 'Group Type Number' field of the FFG command. Any other data has to be entered in the 'Data' field. To fill the RDS groups '0' will be appended if there is any missing data. For further information can be found in the UECP specification.

MEC Editor

The 'MEC Editor' property sheet offers a convenient way to enter and send UECP commands directly to the Encoder. The CRC generation and sequence counter as well as the start / stop sequence and length calculation of the UECP command will be inserted by ArcosII automatically.

For example if you would like to set RDS to 'on' the corresponding UECP command looks like this: 'FE 00 00 00 02 1E 01 AF D2 FF' . The only thing you have to enter in the MEC Edit window is '1E 01', the rest of the UECP command will be generated by ArcosII automatically. It is also possible to include ASCII text ( inline ) in the command sequence. A sequence to set the PS could look like: '02, 00, 00, "Test PS   "'. ArcosII will generate the sequence 'FE 00 00 01 0d 02 00 00 54 65 73 74 20 50 53 20 20 20 E2 97 FF'. ArcosII will handle any necessary byte stuffing for you. You must not enter byte stuffed data manually.

Further more it is possible to send multiple UECP commands at once. To do so, select the commands you would like to send in the list and press the 'Send' button. The commands will be sent in 'top to bottom' order. To change the order of two entries select them and use the 'Swap' button. The list of MEC commands is global ( only stored once in the database ). Therefore the list is the same for each encoder.
